A sigil on the time card

Most magic books are written for people with a lot of free time and a dedicated altar room. That has never been me, and I'd bet it has never been you either. I do my workings on the clock, in the parking lot, on the back of a receipt I'll throw away before my break ends.
Gutter magic is the real folk tradition anyway.
The sigil drawn in spilled salt and wiped away before anyone sees. The glamour you put on with a cheap jacket and the right walk.
None of it needs a robe. All of it needs intent and the nerve to actually do it.
A quiet minute and the guts to mean it. That's the whole temple.
Here is a working you can run today.
Take the thing you want. Write it on a receipt as if it already happened. Fold it small, hold it until it is warm, and feed it to a storm drain on your way back inside.
The city eats it and goes to work. You go back to your shift.
Put a date in your phone before you clock back in. A month out, check what moved.
Write it down. Break's over.
