Privacy and ads

What stays on your device

The tools run in your browser, and what you type into them never leaves it. There are no accounts and no ad trackers here. An ad slot remembers, in this browser only, which ads it has shown you so none repeats. That is not sent anywhere.

Ads and affiliate links

Some pages end with one small ad for a book. Some of the books are ours. The rest are affiliate links, mostly to Amazon: buy through one and we earn a commission, and you pay the same price. Each is marked Ad, and the affiliate ones say so next to them. We pick for the page you are on, one to a page. We count that an ad was shown and that it was clicked. No name, address or cookie goes with the count.

Turn them off

The Chaos Magick Pass takes the ads off this site and off The Pit: $5.75 a month or $55 a year. See the Pass
