Chaos magic results scorecard
Reads the Log in this browser and counts how each method came out. The sample size sits beside every count, because small numbers lie.
Nothing is sent. This page reads the Log on this device and writes nothing to it.
No results marked yet. File a working, wait for its date, mark it in the Log, then come back.
| Method | Hit | Partial | Miss | Can't tell | Open | Checked | Hit rate | By luck |

Hit means you marked it Held. Partly is counted apart. Can't tell is shown but left out of the rate.
Your honest guess, in percent. Be generous to chance.
Under 10 checked is noise. Do not read a pattern into it yet.
What this is
The Scorecard is a free chaos magic results counter. It reads the Log in your browser and shows, for each method, how many workings came back hit, partial, miss or can't tell, with the sample size and what chance alone would give.
How the Scorecard works
Every working you file in the Log gets a check-back date. When the date comes you mark it. The Scorecard counts those marks by method: sigil, shoal, servitor, ward, gnosis sitting and chance throw. It reads the Log and never changes it.
A hit is a working you marked Held. Partial is counted apart. Miss is Nothing. Can't tell is a real answer. It is shown, and left out of the hit rate, so you are not pushed into a verdict you do not have.
Beside the counts is one question: how often would this have happened anyway? Put in your honest percent. The Scorecard shows how many hits luck alone would give at that rate, and the range luck usually lands in. A result inside that range is what chance does without any help.
Under ten checked results, the numbers are noise. Ten workings is a small sample, and a hit rate on five is a mood. Keep logging the misses first. The point of the count is to catch yourself, not to flatter you. It cannot tell you why something happened, only how often.
Scorecard questions
How do I know if my chaos magic is working?
Write down what you did and a date to check. When the date comes, mark what happened, including the misses. Then compare your hit rate with how often the thing would have happened anyway. The Scorecard does the counting.
What does the by luck column mean?
It is the number of hits you would expect from the checked results at the odds you entered, if nothing but chance were at work. A column that matches your hits means you have no sign yet that anything else is going on.
Why does it ignore Can't tell?
Because forcing a verdict on a result you cannot judge adds noise. Those entries are still counted and shown. They just stay out of the hit rate.
How many results do I need before the rate means anything?
More than ten, and the more the better. With a handful, luck alone swings the rate wildly. The Scorecard says so when you are under ten.
Where does the Scorecard get its data?
From the Log, stored in this browser. Nothing is sent, so there is no copy elsewhere. Export the Log to keep it, or to move it to another browser.
Does a high hit rate prove chaos magic works?
No. It shows what you marked and how that compares with chance. Your own marking is part of the measurement, which is why the misses matter and why the odds you enter should be generous.
